In the past few months, we’ve brought you many new features for both The SEO Framework and Extension Manager! Let’s go over them briefly.
Dictionary lookup in your language
Our Focus extension (Extension Manager v2.4) now supports the following languages for inflection lookup: English (US), English (GB), Spanish (Español) (ES), Latvian (Latviešu), Hindi (हिन्दी), Swahili (Kiswahili), Tamil (தமிழ்), Romanian (Română) (RO).
Google Search recognizes inflections in the languages listed above. Since Focus does now, too, your keyword and subject analysis is now much more accurate—without forcing you to sacrifice readability.
If your site’s language isn’t listed above, don’t worry, because Google doesn’t support inflections for it either. We then recommend throwing in an inflection in your content for good measure anyway—that’ll definitely increase your chances of being found on Google Search.
Taxonomy support
The SEO Framework v4.1 now supports taxonomies integrally, which means that you can globally exclude any built-in or custom taxonomy. You can also apply various robots directives to them, allowing for more control over your site.
Performance
As a bonus, The SEO Framework v4.1 is our most performant release yet. While bringing you over a dozen new features like quick-edit for titles and descriptions, we also took a closer look at the code once more.
Compared to v4.0, where we also boasted substantial performance gains, TSF’s administrative area is now up to 99,96% faster; this means that we nearly eliminated all performance impact it once had. On the front-end, TSF’s impact on performance was reduced by 26%. In the real world, this means that you should not be able to notice that The SEO Framework is active.
