This update fixes a corner case bug. If you haven’t read the 2.8.0 upgrade notes yet, please do.

  • Fixed:
    • The PHP multibyte string compatibility file is now correctly loaded when your server doesn’t support mbstring.
      • Note: If you’re a hosting provider, make sure your server supports mbstring; because this will speed up your clients’ websites greatly.
      • When compatibility is required, this resolves a fatal error when your theme is outputting the title wrongfully in some scenarios.
      • When compatibility is required, this resolves a fatal error on the feed output pages when your content starts with <h2>.
